Choosing a translucent or light fill
A semi-transparent or light-colored fill can leave the underlying content faintly visible, especially after re-compression by the platform you share to. Solid, opaque fill is the most certain option for true privacy.
Skipping the final check
Always re-open the exported file at full size and zoom into the redacted area — a redaction that looks fine in a small preview can reveal gaps at full resolution.
